Youth Mental Health Clinics (YMHC)

WestView Primary Care Network (PCN) Youth Mental Health Clinic (YMHC)

The WestView Primary Care Network operates the Youth Mental Health Clinic (YMHC), a specialty clinic for youth aged 11 to 24 who live in the Tri-Region. This Clinic offers wrap-around mental health services for youth aged 11 to 24 who live in the Tri-Region, through a multidisciplinary team consisting of Physicians, Registered Social Workers, a Behavioral Health Consultant, Youth Therapists, and Community Connectors. The main focus of the clinic is diagnosing and managing ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

The Youth Mental Health Clinics (YMHC) are located within a community-located clinic and within select school-located clinics.

As these clinics are located within the schools, in order for students to be seen at these school-located YMHC sites, the youth must be enrolled at that school AND

  • have parent/guardian consent (if under the age of 18) OR
  • be over the age of 18 OR
  • Have been deemed an Independent Student by the Division, in accordance with the Education Act.

This Clinic offers wrap-around mental health services for youth enrolled at these three school sites through a multidisciplinary team consisting of a Physician and a Registered Social Worker. Upon intake other Clinic services may also be recommended within the community, including access to a Behavioral Health Consultant, Youth Therapists, and Community Connectors.
