SGCHS Mourns the Loss of Sasha Noel

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the sudden and unexpected passing of a student enrolled at Spruce Grove Composite High School. Grade 10 student Sasha Noel passed away recently. She will be dearly missed by teachers, classmates, and the community.

On behalf of Spruce Grove Composite High School and Parkland School Division (PSD), we have extended our heartfelt condolences to the student’s family and assured them that our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

To support our students and staff, PSD’s Trauma Response Team will be available at Spruce Grove Composite High School and will remain to support as long as needed.

The family has asked that we share that a wake and visitation is planned for Wednesday, March 19th from 1-5pm at Serenity Funeral Home in Spruce Grove (600 Calahoo Rd).

We are aware that students process loss in different ways, and we would encourage you to check in with your child and offer support as they process this loss. Counselling support will be available at the school in the coming days. Additional community resources including grief and counselling support can be found on the PSD website. If you have any concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school for assistance.
