Scott Onuczko
Department Head / Teacher, Communication Technology
Mr. Onuczko teaches Communication Technology and is the Department Head of the Career and Technology Studies (CTS) Department. Breaking away from the traditional teacher model, Mr. Onuczko designs his classes around his students' passions, areas of ability and individual learning needs. Recognizing that in the rapidly changing field of communications technology, he cannot always be the expert in the room, Mr. Onuczko acts as a guide for students as they solve problems and help each other.
The work that he has done with the Communication Technology Program has earned him both provincial and national recognition. Mr. Onuczko was the recipient of the 2015 Alberta Excellence in Teaching Award and the 2015 Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence.
